and/or if you are experiencing log on problems.
When are they due?
The Assessment Plans are due in the first week of April, prior to the academic
year
to
which they apply. So, for example, an office or department would submit
its
2007-2008 Assessment Plan in the first week of April 2007.
The Assessment Records, the follow-up to the Assessment Plans, are due in the
first week of October following the previous academic year. So, for example, an
office or
department would submit its 2007-2008 Assessment Record in the first
week of October 2008.
How are they evaluated?
Each office/department’s Assessment Record is evaluated by the University
Assessment and Evaluation Committee (UAEC) in the fall semester in which
they
are submitted. Two committee members and the Director of Assessment, Evaluation,
and Accreditation rate each Record. They use detailed rubrics in
their evaluation
(rubric for academic departments, rubric for administrative
offices).
By February
of the next spring semester, the Director of Assessment, Evaluation,
and
Accreditation summarizes the evaluations
and provides
feedback
to each
department including a short report and a one-on-one meeting
with the
office/department
assessment liaison. For academic departments,
their assessments are categorized as
Poor, Satisfactory, or Good based upon results
of UAEC evalution. Please read policy
for more details.
