Section 2: Core Requirements

2.7.4 The institution provides instruction for all course work required for at least one degree program at each level at which it awards degrees. If the institution makes arrangements for some instruction to be provided by other accredited institutions or entities through contracts or consortia, or uses some other alternative approach to meeting this requirement, the alternative approach must be approved by the Commission on Colleges. In all cases, the institution demonstrates that it controls all aspects of its educational program.

Judgment of Compliance:
Compliance

Narrative/Justification for Judgment of Compliance:
Christopher Newport University is in compliance with this core requirement. CNU provides instruction for all course work required for all degree programs at baccalaureate and master's levels. CNU is not involved in any contracts or consortia that make arrangements for another institution to provide instruction for its degree programs. All general education courses required for the baccalaureate degree are offered at CNU and all courses required for the majors are offered at CNU, as is instruction for the curricula of the three master's level programs.

Evidence for compliance is found in the CNU Undergraduate Catalog and the CNU Graduate Catalog . The courses required for graduation and the course offerings for baccalaureate and master's level degrees are published in these two catalogs. Descriptions for each course offered at CNU are published in the two catalogs.
