Compliance
Narrative/Justification for Judgment of Compliance:
Christopher Newport University is in compliance with this comprehensive standard. The Undergraduate Catalog states that all baccalaureate degree programs require a total of 120 academic semester hours, with a minimum of 45 credit hours to be completed in residence as a degree-seeking student. This equates to 37.5% of the degree program. In addition, a minimum of 30 of the last 36 credit hours, including the last 12 credit hours within the major field, must be taken in residence.
Transfer credits are identified on the CNU transcript. The credits are listed under the name of the institution from which the credits were transferred. The policy is in the undergraduate catalog and is available in print and on the CNU website.
